The residents, who all live in Fulwell Avenue, have won £1,000 each thanks to their lucky postcode.

The neighbours netted the windfall when their postcode, NE34 7DF, was announced as a Daily Prize winner with People’s Postcode Lottery on Monday, July 27.

She said: “What a fantastic surprise to start your week.

“Congratulations to our winners, I hope they go and treat themselves with their winnings.”

The People’s Postcode Lottery has raised over £500million to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond – with a minimum of 32 percent of ticket sales going directly to charities.

This latest draw was promoted by The Ramblers, which works to protect and expand the places where people love to walk.

The charity has received over £10.1million in funding from the players of People’s Postcode Lottery.

Many good causes close to the winners have also benefited from players’ support, and local charities can next apply for funding in August.
