South Tyneside food banks: Places offering support and where you can make a donation

A number of food banks and community projects are operating in South Tyneside to support the borough’s most vulnerable.

We have taken a look at some of the places supporting families across the borough - and some of the places you can also contact if you wish to make a donation.

Some opening hours and services may be subject to change due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, so please contact the centres directly for more information.

South Tyneside Food Bank (Hospitality & Hope): Hampden Street Operations Centre, South Shields.

According to the Trussell Trust, the food bank is currently open from Monday to Friday, providing emergency help.

Collections can be made between 10am and 11am for pre-ordered food parcels. Contact them on 0191 4203336.

Working in partnership with Churches Together, the team works to get food parcels to families across South Tyneside.

Donations can be made in person or online.
