Out of over 900 readers who voted, 83% voted yes while 17% claimed they were still unsure who to vote for.

Those who have made up their mind shared differing views on who to vote for and why.

Candidates for Labour, The Green Party, Conservatives, Liberal Democrats, The Brexit Party and Independent candidates across South Tyneside were discussed by our readers with reasons for why they are choosing to vote for their favourite.

Lindsay Hodgson said: “I have known since before an Election was called that if it came to an Election, I would be voting for the best person who will deliver Brexit as the majority voted for in 2016.”
