Plans submitted for new 50-seat spectator stand for Boldon CA Football Club
Plans for a covered spectator stand to support a South Tyneside football club have been submitted to borough development bosses.
South Tyneside Council’s planning department has received an application for land linked to the Boldon Community Association Football Club in the Boldon Colliery ward.
This includes the installation of a 50-seat covered spectator stand and a concrete foundation.
According to a pre-planning application letter to council officials, the stand is a league requirement for Boldon CA FC.

The supporting letter, published on the council’s planning portal website, states: “As part of the EBAC Northern League stadium grading requirements the club are obliged to have covered seating for 50 supporters.
“The seating arrangement that is proposed for installation is to be provided by Sports Ground Development”.
It was noted that the works would “take place solely on the club grounds” and that access to the site would be via the Shack Public House car park entrance and an unnamed road that runs to the ground.
The applicant for the plans is listed as Dunlop Project Management Ltd and a decision on the plans will be made once a period of council consultation has concluded.
Comments on the plans can be made, via South Tyneside Council’s planning portal website, until July 22, 2024.
