Public very generous
On behalf of the Salvation Army I am pleased to report, and I am most grateful to the people of South Shields who generously donated the sum of £834.40 during the course of a street collection in King Street and the Nook on Saturday, June 25.

The money collected was for the work of the South Shields Salvation Army, Wawn Street.
We would also like to thank those people who were interested in listening to the music provided by the Salvation Army Band during the morning.
We would like to thank all those who helped in any way.
