Pattison, of Bath Road, also Hebburn, is further accused of making the threat against her home on Friday, July 28.

He denied charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and making a threat to damage or destroy property.

District Judge Zoe Passfield told Pattison he will be tried at the same court on Wednesday, October 23.

Neither prosecutor Charlie Thompson nor Michelle Stonley, defending, provided further details of the alleged offences.

Judge Passfield granted Pattison bail on condition he does not attend the woman’s home and contacts her only via a third party for the purpose of child contact.
