The council has drafted their Fuel Poverty Strategy and Action Plan and residents now have the opportunity to give their feedback on the draft.

This comes after residents shared their views on fuel poverty earlier in summer this year.

The deadline for informing the council about potential changes is Monday, October 5.

The draft plan can be read online and views can be shared through the consultation page or [email protected].

A spokesperson for South Tyneside Council, via social media, said: “Thank you to everyone who shared their views on fuel poverty earlier this year.

“Your feedback has helped shape our draft Fuel Poverty Strategy and Action Plan.

“You can now read the draft fuel poverty strategy and let us know what you think.”

This plan will replace the council’s current strategy.
