Jarrow-based food supplier among finalists at the British Kebab Awards
A Jarrow company is in the running to win a top honour at the British Kebab Awards.
A Jarrow-based food supplier has been named among some of the country’s best businesses as part of the British Kebab Awards.
Prime Buys Meat has been named as a finalist in the Supplier and Manufacturer Award category of the 15th British Kebab Awards, which will be held on February 23, 2027.
The national awards look to celebrate the restaurants, takeaways and people behind one of Britain's best-loved dishes.
Prime Buys Meat's nomination for the upcoming ceremony has even received the backing of Kate Osborne MP.
Ibrahim Doğuş, Founder of the British Kebab Awards, said: “Reaching the final is a significant achievement, and this year's finalists reflect the talent and hard work of the whole industry — from independent family businesses to larger restaurant groups.
“More than 6,000 nominations and over 40,000 votes show how strongly people support these businesses.”
