Withdrawn train means delays on the Metro between Sunderland and South Shields
There are delays on the Metro between South Tyneside and Sunderland.

The service has Tweeted that there is a gap in service between South Hylton and Brockley Whins in either direction.
The delays have been caused by a train being withdrawn from service.
