Yellow weather warning: Hour-by-hour forecast as downpours are set for South Shields
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for the North East as rain is expected to turn heavy on Saturday, November 23.
The weather warning is in place and the prolonged rain is set to begin on the evening of Friday, November 22.
The heavy rain could cause some transport disruption and flooding is likely in places.
Spray is also likely on local roads which could make travel times longer.
This is when the heavy rain is set to hit South Shields.
