World famous painting inspires a South Shields beaded treasure workshop

Youngsters are urged to be inspired by a masterpiece at a South Shields workshop.

A world famous painting is providing the inspiration for a beaded treasure workshop in South Shields town centre.

The South Shields Museum & Art Gallery, on Ocean Road, is set to host the workshop sessions throughout the day on Tuesday, October 27.

Those attending are urged to be inspired by the shells, pearls and embellishments in Pierre Mignard’s painting, The Marquise de Seignelay, which is currently on display at the museum.
