'Zombie moves!' - South Shields gym bunnies wanted to recreate Michael Jackson's Thriller routine for charity
“We hope gym members and non-members alike will grab their friends, bring their best zombie moves and make this a Halloween class to remember.”
Gymgoers face an hour of blood, sweat and fears when they take part in a Halloween dancing fundraiser for a South Tyneside charity.

They are being invited to wear their best spooky outfits and mimic pop star Michael Jackson’s moves in the groundbreaking video for his 1982 hit Thriller.
Bosses at The Gym Group South Shields say the 60-minute fun Halloween Dance Class is open to members and non-members alike.
It is being led by borough-based dance instructor India Adams, and is from 6.15pm on Friday, October 30, at the keep-fit firm’s centre at Crossgate, South Shields.

Organisers hope dozens of attendees will dress up in their best Halloween outfits to raise money for the Chloe & Liam Together Forever Trust.
The trust was founded in memory of Chloe Rutherford, 17, and Liam Curry, 19, from South Shields, who died in the 2017 Manchester Arena bombing. Through its work, grants are given to support young people to follow their dreams in the fields of sport and performance.
Andrew Borthwick, The Gym Group’s fitness manager, said: “India will be teaching a fun dance routine to Thriller, which is an iconic Halloween classic.
“Fancy dress is encouraged but not essential, so those taking part are free to go all out with their spookiest outfit or just come as they are.
“We hope gym members and non-members alike will grab their friends, bring their best zombie moves and make this a Halloween class to remember.
“Whether they’re a complete beginner or love to dance, all abilities are welcome, and participants don’t need to be a member of The Gym Group to join in.”
Andrew added: “Best of all, we’ll be raising money for The Chloe & Liam Together Forever Trust.
“The Halloween Dance Class is a great chance to have fun, get moving and support a fantastic local charity at the same time.”
Members can book through The Gym Group’s app and non-members can turn up on the door, and there will be a QR code to scan and donate on the day.
Anyone unable to make the class but who would like to support the charity can donate online at https://togetherforevertrust.com/make-a-donation/?cause_id=9027.
