A mind-blowing Ubisoft announcement has revealed 6 huge releases - including Far Cry 6 and Assasin’s Creed Valhalla
Ubisoft has announced it will be releasing six highly anticipated games and updates in the next seven months.
The developer has announced the scheduled release dates for Far Cry 6, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Watchdogs Legion, Hyper Scape, an update for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint and Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad for mobile.
Far Cry 6
The headline act is undoubtedly Far Cry 6. Ubisoft announced that the latest in the hit series is currently in development and will release on 18 February 2021, on Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store on Windows PC, as well as on UPLAY+, Ubisoft’s subscription service.
The game is set on Yara, a fictional Caribbean island inspired by Cuba, ruled as a dictatorship by "El Presidente" Antón Castillo, voiced and modelled after Giancarlo Esposito, who is raising his son Diego, voiced by Anthony Gonzalez, to follow in his rule. The player takes the role of a guerilla fighter attempting to topple Castillo and his regime.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
Ubisoft was not done there with its big announcement, though. It was also revealed that the next instalment in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, will release worldwide on 17 November 2020, on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store on Windows PC, as well as on UPLAY+*, Ubisoft’s subscription service and Stadia.
Valhalla will also release on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 as and when the next generation consoles are launched. Players who purchase Assassin’s Creed Valhalla on Xbox One or PlayStation 4 will be able to upgrade their game to the next-gen version (Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5) at no additional cost.
Watch Dogs Legion
As if that was not enough, the new Watch Dogs was also unveiled, with Watch Dogs Legion hitting consoles on 29 October 2020 on Xbox One, PS4, Stadia and for Windows PC on Epic Games and Uplay. Watch Dogs: Legion will also release on Xbox Series X and PS5 upon the launch of the consoles.
Legion is the third instalment in the series and takes place in a dystopian, fictionalised version of London.
Hyper Scape is an Open Beta for all PC Players available immediately worldwide. Hyper Scape is a free-to-play fast-paced urban battle royale first person shooter. Developed by Ubisoft Montreal, Hyper Scape takes place in the distant future of 2054, where up to 100 Contenders descend upon the virtual city of Neo-Arcadia to engage in action-packed and fast-paced matches to be crowned champion.
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint released Title Update 2.1.0 on 15 July, free for all players, providing the opportunity to play with AI teammates, and features a limited-time event and more.
Elite Squad is a free-to-play mobile RPG featuring iconic characters from the Tom Clancy‘s universe. It will release worldwide on 27 August for iOS and Android devices.
