Newcastle United striker hints at frustration in social media post
Elias Sorensen’s hoping his patience will reap rewards – as he waits for a chance.
The Newcastle United striker has only made one League Two start for loan club Carlisle United – and history is seemingly repeating itself.
Sorensen – who was recalled from a loan spell at Blackpool last season because of a lack of starts – is waiting to find out the identity of the club’s next manager following the sacking of Steven Pressley.
The 20-year-old posted a photograph of himself playing for Carlisle said on Instagram with the caption: “He that can have patience can have what he will.”
Sorensen, a Denmark Under-21 international, made his senior Newcastle debut in a Premier League Asia Trophy game against Wolverhampton Wanderers in July. He signed a new three-year deal at United in January before he moved to Blackpool on loan after hitting form for the club’s Under-23 side.
