Newcastle United winger Christian Atsu offered to Championship side Nottingham Forest ahead of potential deadline day loan move, West Bromwich Albion interested

Christian Atsu could be on his way out of Newcastle United this deadline day after the club reportedly offered him on loan to Championship high-flyers Nottingham Forest.

The 28-year-old winger has also been offered a temporary move to Forest’s promotion rivals West Bromwich Albion this week, according to a reports in the Daily Mail.

Atsu has started just six times in the Premier League for United so far this season with two of those coming in the away draws at Wolves and Everton over the past month.

The Ghanaian has previous experience in the Championship as he helped Newcastle earn promotion back to the top flight in 2017.

Matt Ritchie’s return from injury as well as the loan signing of Valentino Lazaro have seen Atsu fall further down the pecking order on Tyneside with Newcastle looking to get bodies out following the loan arrival of Danny Rose from Tottenham Hotspur.
