'The fat rat' - Bruno Guimaraes brutally trolls Sunderland as he shows true Newcastle United colours
Former Newcastle United captain Bruno Guimaraes has mocked Sunderland after scoring against them for Arsenal.
Bruno Guimaraes has brutally trolled Sunderland fans after getting one over on Newcastle United’s bitter rivals.
Guimaraes showed his Newcastle allegiances after coming off the bench to open the scoring for Arsenal in their 2-0 Premier League win at the Stadium of Light on Saturday night.
The 28-year-old was introduced at half-time before breaking the deadlock in the 58th minute. His brilliant 20-yard strike came just 121 seconds after David Raya had saved Enzo Le Fee’s penalty at the other end.

As he wheeled away in celebration, Guimaraes mocked the Black Cats with a hand gesture calling them a small club. But the taunting did not stop there.
After the match, Guimaraes took to Instagram to share photos of his goal and celebration, alongside the caption: “They know what they are, the fat rat wishes you a nice weekend.”
For context, the “fat rat” comment was an insult Guimaraes heard from Sunderland fans as he got off the Arsenal team bus at the Stadium of Light.
Guimaraes’ antics have gone down a treat with Newcastle fans, many of whom have joked that they now forgive him for leaving the club in the summer.
Speaking after the game, Guimaraes said: “Everyone knows my history, everyone knows what I have done for Newcastle and how much I care about the club.
“It was an important goal, my first goal for Arsenal, so I’m very happy and proud. I’ve had a difficult start with two injuries but now I am feeling very good. I hope for many more [goals] now.”
