Matthias Jaissle’s side reached the last-16 of the competition for a fifth successive season by beating Championship sides West Bromwich Albion and Millwall.

The home win against the Baggies came thanks to a Harvey Barnes brace and Bazoumana Traore’s first goal for the club as United claimed a 3-2 win at St James’ Park before Joe Willock got the only goal of the game in last week’s visit to Millwall.
