What is Newcastle United’s recent FA Cup third round record?

The Magpies have made it past the third round in each of the last two seasons, beating Sunderland 3-0 at the Stadium of Light in 2023/24 and Bromley 3-1 at St. James’ Park last season. However, before that, Newcastle exited at the third round stage three years running, going down 2-1 away at Sheffield Wednesday in 2022/23, 1-0 at home to Cambridge United in 2021/22, and 2-0 against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in 2020/21.

Newcastle have won the FA Cup six times, but haven’t lifted the famous old trophy since 1955 - losing three finals since then.
