Jarrod Bowen update as Newcastle United push for one more signing
Newcastle United are still trying to sign a left-back – as the transfer deadline edges closer.
Danny Rose, out of favour at Tottenham Hotspur, is on target. However, Newcastle are only interested in taking Rose one loan, while Tottenham are looking to sell the 29-year-old before Friday night’s transfer deadline.
Asked about Rose last week, head coach Steve Bruce said: “It would be wrong for me to sit and talk about other people’s players. He (Rose) is a quality player and a class act, the kid. Whether it’s possible, who knows.”
Bruce needs a left-back after losing Paul Dummett and Jetro Willems to season-ending injuries this month.
Meanwhile, contrary to one report, United have NOT bid for Hull City striker Jarrod Bowen. It was today claimed that Newcastle had submitted a bid worth up to £20million for Bowen, who was signed by Bruce during his time at Hull.
