13. Casemiro

14. Loris Karius
Karius is likely to be the stand-in for Pope at the weekend, although he is yet to feature in a competitive game for Newcastle. Karius played 45 minutes of Newcastle’s Diriyah Season Cup win over Al-Hilal in December and Howe has no concerns about the German’s fitness heading into the weekend. Howe said: “Behind the scenes, these lads train every day. They play games behind closed doors, and I’ve got no doubt they’re both in a great physical condition to play the game. They’ve got no injury concerns.” Photo: Ian MacNicol

15. Martin Dubravka
Dubravka featured twice for Manchester United in the Carabao Cup this season and is thus cup-tied for the final. Photo: Stu Forster

16. Matty Longstaff
Longstaff suffered an ACL injury whilst on-loan with Colchester United and has been ruled-out for the remainder of the season. Howe said: “Matty’s been in for a couple of days to get his knee assessed and checked. It does look like it’s potentially a difficult injury for him. I don’t know exactly the details of that. He’s going to have scans, and the extent will be revealed, but it doesn’t look good for him at the moment.” Longstaff scored twice against the Red Devil’s during the 2019/20 season.
