Newcastle United trio set to leave in 2027 as Ross Wilson plans new deal
Newcastle United are reportedly set to make a major decision over the future of one of their longest serving players.
Newcastle United are reportedly set to make a major decision over the future of one of their longest-serving players as he approaches the final months of his current contract at St James Park.
The Magpies have already handed extended contracts to left-back Lewis Hall and winger Harvey Barnes in recent months after academy product Lewis Miley agreed a new long-term deal during the summer months.
However, there are some major calls lying in wait over several other members of the first-team squad as they approach key points in their existing agreements.

One such player is long-serving winger Jacob Murphy, who has made over 270 appearances for the Magpies since making a reported £12m move from Norwich City during the summer of 2017. Although the boyhood United fan took his time to settle at St James Park and spent time out on loan with West Bromwich Albion and Sheffield Wednesday, he gradually fought his way into the side and has enjoyed some high points during his time at St James Park.
However, the 31-year-old, who was linked with a move to Nottingham Forest during the summer transfer window, is now in the final year of his current contract and will be able to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with a club outside of England in January before making a free transfer switch at the end of the season. Reports from The Daily Mail have claimed United could hand Murphy a new one-year extension - but could still leave next summer even if he does put pen-to-paper.
Nick Pope, Fabian Schar, Dan Burn, Joe Willock and Mark Gillespie are also out of contract at the end of the season. Pope and Schar will likely leave the club while Burn has an extension option.
Willock has been subject to transfer interest from Besiktas, who are looking to snap him up on a free transfer by striking a pre-contract deal in January.
But when do the current contracts of other members of Newcastle’s first-team squad come to an end?
