Newcastle United delay publication of revealing financial accounts

Newcastle United have put back the publication of their latest set of financial accounts.

Fans have been waiting for the publication for the accounts for the year ending June 2020.

The figures will show the early impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the Premier League club’s finances.

A filing at Companies House today revealed that the club had changed the accounting period.

The period in question now ends on July 31, 2020, which will align the accounts with the end of the delayed 2019/20 season.
