Newcastle United injury crisis as three fresh blows confirmed by Matthias Jaissle - seven ruled out v Hull
Newcastle United injuries: Matthias Jaissle confirmed a fresh injury blow ahead of Saturday’s match against Hull City.
Newcastle United will be without several key players for Saturday’s Premier League clash against Hull City (3pm kick-off), Matthias Jaissle confirmed.
As expected, Joelinton, Dan Burn, William Osula and Anthony Elanga will miss the match due to injury. But Jaissle also revealed that Amar Dedic, Jacob Ramsey and Nico Gonzalez would also be out.
Goalkeeper Ewen Jaouen is a doubt for the game, but would only return on the bench should he prove his fitness in time.

Elanga is set for an MRI scan on a hamstring injury, with Jaissle stating in his pre-match press conference: “Still not a real update on Anthony. I just spoke with him now, so I think in the next 30 minutes he's in the MRI, so we will get more clarity then. And then we hope that it's not that serious.
“We are also optimistic, even though there are a couple of challenges now. We have some injured players. Not only Anthony, a couple of other players as well, missing. But again, we use that as an opportunity for others.”
Dedic was a doubt for the Leeds United match on Monday due to a hamstring injury but was able to start the game at Elland Road before being taken off before the hour mark. Livramento could now be handed his first start of the season.
“It doesn't look that good for the Hull match,” Jaissle added. “Amar will also not be able to play on Saturday, so it's getting shorter and shorter, at least.
“JJ is injured as well. I said that four weeks, five weeks ago, it's a brave journey. So now if there is one setback, we shouldn't delete our journey or our vision.
“We're fully committed. We're fully aligned. We anticipated that. That something like that against Leeds happened. Or is happening also in the next weeks and months. It's just on us to respond, but still believing. We don't change that.”
NUFC follow concussion protocol
Gonzalez will also miss the match due to the club following concussion protocol while Ramsey, who suffered a groin injury in the warm-up at Leeds, will miss Saturday’s match. The summer signing had a blow to the head in the early stages of the defeat at Leeds and was withdrawn shortly after despite initially playing on.
“It was just unlucky it was not a big hit but the hit was was strong enough and precise enough to knock him out,” Jaissle revealed. “Like I said also in the post match press conference we need to be smart we have the responsibility then to follow the protocol from the league which I really think it's so good that we're so advanced in that approach and so he's missing the Saturday's match but he's feeling much better he's fine usually you know he could train he can progress but again we take that serious that protocol and therefore he will be out.”
Newcastle will be hoping to have some players back available when they travel to Coventry City after the international break on October 12.
