Newcastle United ‘keen’ on World Cup star, Aston Villa to ‘battle’ Wolves for Real Madrid veteran

Newcastle United are less than three weeks away from facing Leicester City at the King Power Stadium

Newcastle United are set to play their first of two friendlies against Al-Hilal on Thursday. The team have flown out to Saudi Arabia for a mid-season training camp this week.

Eddie Howe’s side will take on the Saudi champions at 5pm on Thursday, with Al-Hilal currently sat fourth in the Saudi Pro League. The Magpies will then host Rayo Vallecano at St. James’ Park next week, with the Spaniards sat eighth in La Liga.

United’s next competitive match comes in the Carabao Cup against Bournemouth on December 21, before returning to Premier League action against Leicester five days later.
