Will Osula injury setback as fresh Newcastle United return date revealed
Will Osula has spent the last two-and-a-half games on the Newcastle United sidelines - and could miss a further four.
Will Osula will reportedly be unavailable for Newcastle United selection until after the Autumn international break.
Matthias Jaissle handed the Dane a major vote of confidence by starting him in the Premier League opener against Liverpool. That faith was immediately repaid when Osula set up Anthony Elanga’s fifth-minute strike.
However, a collision with Virgil van Dijk caused the 23-year-old to limp towards half-time. Osula - who scored six goals in nine games towards the back end of last season - attempted to continue before being hooked off shortly after the restart.

What Matthias Jaissle has said
Jaissle stayed coy when asked about Osula’s return date last week. He said: “He's now permanently getting the best treatment. We have a fantastic medical department, but it's still too early to make a clear prognosis, a clear time frame when he's back, but he's working hard in the rehab like all the others.”
Will Osula injury blow
According to reports in Denmark, Osula is unlikely to feature anytime soon. It is claimed that the striker has been wearing a splint and faces an extended spell on the sidelines.
There is genuine doubt that he will return for his country’s upcoming double-headers against Wales and Norway. Osua made his senior debut for Denmark earlier this year.
As for Newcastle, this could mean the forward miss a further four fixtures. An extended international period this season sees the September and October breaks merge.
Osula has already missed two-and-a-half games for the Magpies - a bitter blow as he aimed to kick on from last season. Yoane Wissa and new recruit Matias Fernandez-Pardo will step up in his absence.
