'Not easy' - Matthias Jaissle reveals message to Newcastle United players after St James' Park boos
Newcastle United supporters made their feelings known after the 1-0 defeat to Everton at St James’ Park.
Matthias Jaissle has told his players to get used to the pressure and criticism that comes with playing for Newcastle United.
The Magpies have lost five of their last seven matches in all competitions and were booed off after Monday night's 1-0 defeat against Everton at St James' Park.
Dan Burn spoke after the game and said he understood the fans' frustrations, but admitted that "it doesn't make it easier for us as players". Jaissle agreed with his captain but insisted his squad must learn to deal with the pressure.

Matthias Jaissle agrees with Dan Burn - but NUFC must learn
“It's not easy, and the players need to get used to it,” Jaissle told The Gazette. “The players who are not used to it before.
“Of course we have some experienced players. Ask Dan Burn, I think he had already up and downs in his career, so he's easier at handling that situation.
“The young lads, of course, for them it's also new. For them it's also new to learn how to overcome this period, but we are here to support, and that's not only myself, that's my whole staff, that's all employees here in the club, working with the players. And that's our job now.”
United’s defeat to Everton saw them slip to 13th in the Premier League table, four points above the relegation places.
Speaking post-match, Burn, in full, said: "Disappointed, frustrated. Much of the same in the last few games - between the boxes we do OK, but we're not ruthless enough going forward or defending our own box.
"When you're not winning games, there's always a lack of confidence. The fans weren't happy. They have shown that at half-time and full-time. That doesn't make it easy to build confidence when you're in that atmosphere.
"But I've been a fan, so I understand the frustrations when they're not getting what they're expecting.
“That wasn't a Newcastle performance like we've expected in the last three or four years, so I can completely understand the frustrations. It doesn't make it easier for us as players. You can sense that nervousness in the ground."
Jaissle’s side are hoping to bounce back on Saturday with an away trip to Fulham, who are two places and two points behind them in the table.
