Fresh injury news about Newcastle United star emerges from England World Cup camp
Tino Livramento missed the final five games of Newcastle United’s season with a thigh injury.
Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that Tino Livramento is back in training following his recent thigh injury.
Newcastle United were without the defender for the final five Premier League games of the season. Livramento - whose 2025-26 campaign was marred by injury - limped off during the 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth in April.
Despite a stop-start season, England boss Tuchel included the 23-year-old in his 26-man squad for the World Cup. He will likely act as cover for Nico O’Reilly and Reece James in defence.

Thomas Tuchel gives fitness update
Photos emerged earlier this week of Livramento training alongside his Three Lions teammates. Tuchel confirmed the Toon star is back in action - before insisting to feeling “lucky” at the fitness of his squad.
“I'm a very lucky manager because I could choose a group and go to the World Cup with the group I've chosen!” Tuchel told reporters. “I'm a very, very lucky manager. I was very nervous in the last weeks when I saw players going out injured. I instantly texted them to say, ‘Is everything ok?’
“You need this kind of luck if we want to go a long way. If we're unlucky with key moments in key matches, it's not the same thing. We will always try to find solutions, because we don't want to be fully dependent on individual players.
“Now it's beautiful that we can train in the full-size squad. The young players we took are doing excellent. Every match has the risk of an injury, but let's touch wood and not talk so much about it. The manager is lucky and happy. We have the chance to let everyone play.”
Tino Livramento transfer speculation
Livramento has attracted transfer speculation as he stalls over a new contract on Tyneside. His current deal has two years left to run - and he stayed coy on his future when pressed by The Gazette in December.
“That's nothing that I'm in control of,” Livramento said. “I leave that to my dad, to my agent. For me, I've been out for seven weeks. I've been working really hard to come back and obviously help the team.
“I'm very happy with how I've played (against Man City). That's my focus, staying where I'm at now. That's always been my focus. Helping the team as much as I can.”
