Newcastle United 17y/o duo in line for Hull City call-up after triple injury blow
Newcastle United will turn to their academy with several key players ruled out of the Premier League match against Hull City.
Newcastle United 17-year-old duo Mason Miley and Michael Mills are in line for a place on the bench against Hull City this afternoon.
The Magpies were already without Anthony Elanga, Will Osula, Dan Burn and Joelinton before suffering a further triple blow during Monday night’s 4-1 defeat at Leeds United.
Jacob Ramsey injured his groin during the pre-match warm-up at Elland Road, meaning he wasn’t available to replace Nico Gonzalez when the Spaniard was forced off with a head injury in the 19th minute.

Gonzalez is ineligible to feature against Hull under concussion protocols, while Amar Dedic is also sidelined after presumably suffering a recurrence of the hamstring problem he first picked up in the 1-0 win at Millwall in the Carabao Cup last week.
Newcastle United 17-year-old duo in line for squad call-up v Hull City
Mason Miley, younger brother of Lewis, was named in a Premier League matchday squad for the first time at Leeds but was an unused substitute, while Mills, who joined from Port Vale in 2023, travelled as the extra man.
Due to the number of injuries within the first-team camp, Miley is set to remain in the squad, with Mills in line to join him.
“In general, I think it depends a bit on the next two days and who potentially could be back from our lads,” Jaissle said when asked about teenage pair.
“But Mason [Miley] was so happy to be in the squad and the chance is big again that he could be in the squad. Also the other lads, we have fantastic players from the academy. They are showing up, they are training with us and we invite them.
“Michael is a young lad but is so positive. Also, when I see the development just in the last weeks, of course if there is the right time, and the right space in the squad, they will be getting the chance and this is also our way.
“We have a good bridge, a close bridge between the youth academy, bringing these players closer and closer to the first team and hopefully let them play on the big stage."
Mills is yet to feature for the first team, unlike Miley, who started the pre-season friendly against Bayer Leverkusen at St. James' Park last month.
