New signings & 17y/o spotted in Newcastle United training as forgotten man returns - £68m trio miss out
Newcastle United are preparing for Saturday’s Premier League clash against AFC Bournemouth at St James’ Park.
Newcastle United deadline day signing Matias Fernandez-Pardo is training and available to make his debut against Bournemouth on Saturday (12:30pm kick-off).
The 21-year-old arrived from Lille for £51million to become the Magpies’ eighth and final summer arrival. And he has quickly joined up with his new teammates in preparation for his Premier League debut.
The winger was filmed by Sky Sports cameras at Newcastle’s training ground The KNOX on Wednesday afternoon as Matthias Jaissle’s side look to continue their unbeaten start to the new season this weekend at St James’ Park.

In addition to Fernandez-Pardo, Tino Livramento was also filmed in training having missed all of pre-season and Newcastle’s opening three competitive games due to a calf injury. The 23-year-old has been somewhat of a forgotten man amid a summer of change at Newcastle and he will have to fight to get back into the side following strong starts to the season for Lewis Hall and new signing Amar Dedic.
Anthony Elanga was also in training despite concerns he had suffered an injury during the 2-0 win at Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday. The winger has scored in each of United’s opening two Premier League matches. Only Andy Cole in 1994 has scored in each of Newcastle’s opening three Premier League games.
The Magpies remain without Joelinton, Dan Burn and William Osula due to injury. Sources in Denmark claim Osula could be facing at least another month on the sidelines due to a leg injury.
