Fabrizio Romano confirms unannounced Newcastle United academy transfer from West Ham

Newcastle United have reported added another young talent to their academy ranks.

Newcastle United have reportedly boosted their academy ranks by completing the signing of a highly-rated full-back from West Ham United.

The Magpies have being working hard to boost their youth ranks in recent years after completing the signing of the likes of South Korean youngster Seung-Soo Park, Georgian forward Vakhtang Salia and Spanish winger Antonio Cordero. Ecuadorian winger Johan Martinez will link up with the United youth ranks next summer and another new addition was also completed earlier this month when 19-year-old striker Afner Ca put pen-to-paper on a long-term deal with the Magpies following spells with Portuguese club Amora and La Liga side Levante.

Several more academy additions are expected over the coming weeks and months and one prospect has now been secured after the Magpies reportedly landed a deal for West Ham full-back Kyle Healy-Matthews. The 16-year-old has been a regular in the Hammers Under-18s over the last six months and he will now move to Tyneside and is likely to form part of the club’s Under-18s side as they prepare for the new season.

He posted on X: “Newcastle have completed Kyle Healy deal today for the Academy as young full-back joins from West Ham.” The update comes almost seven weeks after Magpies fans account NUFC Blog initially revealed a deal for the Hammers youngster was close to completion after United saw off competition from a number of clubs to secure his signature.
