Steve Bruce issues Ryan Fraser injury update at Newcastle United

The winger, signed as a free agent last summer, had an operation on his groin last month after returning from Scotland duty with an injury.

However, Fraser is pencilled in to return this month along with goalkeeper Karl Darlow, who has had knee surgery.

Speaking to BBC Radio Newcastle, head coach Bruce said: “Darlow and Fraser have both had operations, but they’re recovering.

"The way sports science is, in another couple of weeks, they’ll hopefully be OK.”
