Swansea City loanee Freddie Woodman reveals the SHOCK Newcastle United player who has inspired him

Woodman, on a season-long loan in South Wales, will lock horns with former United striker Aleksandar Mitrovic's Fulham this evening in the Championship.
And the 22-year-old has revealed the Serbian striker, the second tier’s top-scorer this season, inspired him while they were teammates at St James’s Park.

“I remember from when he arrived at Newcastle, he was just a worker. He was always in the gym, always willing to improve, and always doing extra.
“I bounced off that and it made me want to work harder because I could see how much he was putting into it.”
Woodman has impressed at the Liberty Stadium since arriving on loan. The keeper has recorded five clean sheets in 18 games for the Swans, who sit in sixth place this season, seven points off the automatic promotion positions.

“As with any Championship player, we will be on guard, do our homework and try to find ways to stop him.”
