'Help available' - School Exclusions Week 2026 programme for children missing education in South Tyneside
There is a range of events, workshops and drop-in opportunities.
South Tyneside Special Educational Needs and Disability Information, Advice & Support Service (SENDIASS) has a full programme for School Exclusions Week 2026, Monday, November 2 to Friday, November 6.
There is a range of events, workshops and drop-in opportunities designed to provide support, advice and connection for families affected by children missing education. Many of the activities are free with no booking required.
The events are scattered across the borough at venues including The Word, Ridgeway Family Hub, Cleadon Park Library, Biddick Hall and the Hebburn Family Hub.
This year's programme has been shaped by feedback from parents and carers through a recent survey, which is helping focus on the topics, support and activities that matter most to local families.
The Launch Event is on Monday, November 2, 4pm at the Word, South Shields, with the unveiling of the completed Inclusion Quilt, refreshments and an opportunity to come together.
SENDIASS offers free and impartial information, advice and support to parents/carers, children and young people with SEN and disabilities. Visit www.southtynesidesendiass.co.uk.
