Proper Food and Drink Festival brings thousands to South Shields - see who you can spot in our pictures

There were tasty treats for the whole family in South Shields this bank holiday weekend, as the town welcomed the Proper Food and Drink Festival.

Thousands of hungry punters headed to Bents Park over the three-day event, which concludes today, to sample something a bit special from one of the stalls. While you tested out the treats and tried something new, we were there with our camera seeing what was in store.
