Alan brought a wealth of musical knowledge, experience and clear leadership to the choir.

Karl Holford, CNMVC Chair, said: “Alan provided exactly the kind of steady, experienced leadership the choir needed during a challenging period.

"We thank him sincerely for his commitment, musicianship and support.”

Alan said: “Working with the CNMVC has been both rewarding and enjoyable. I’m pleased to have played a part in guiding the choir through a period of change, and I look forward to seeing it continue to thrive in the years ahead."

Alan’s retirement and his remarkable 60-year musical career will be formally recognised at the choir’s concert at St Charles RC Church on Friday, March 20, 2026.

For now, the choir simply want to thank Alan once again and wish him every happiness and good health in his retirement.
