Laygate Community School pupils have thanked teachers for their efforts during the coronavirus lockdown by posting a video on social media. The video wasn’t the only way that the children have showed their thanks, some of them have even baked the teachers a cake which they are going to deliver to the school.
Chloe Saeed, 33 from Harton Moor is the mum behind the idea to say thank you to teachers.

“I’ve seen loads of schools do this sort of thing, but I’ve never seen a message back from the children.
“I created a group chat with other mums from the school to get something organised and the response has been great.”
Chloe’s message, which just started as photos was quickly turned into a video and has been getting praise from across the school community.

“I just wanted to show some appreciation for what they do, not only for the children but the parents as well. They are a big part of our children’s lives.”
