Man dies after falling over inside Newcastle nightclub

A man who fell at a Newcastle nightclub has died, police have confirmed.

The 40-year-old was injured in the early hours of Saturday after falling in Perdu, in Collingwood Street.

He had suffered serious head injuries.

Sadly, he passed away on Sunday

A statement from Northumbria Police read: "This is an update in relation to the man who fell in Perdu, Collingwood Street, in the early hours of Saturday morning.

"The man has sadly passed away and a report is being prepared for the coroner.

"Police are not in a position to name the man.

"Anyone with information to help is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference 169 20/02/16."
