South Shields' Mr Swainstons raising funds for Chloe and Liam Together Forever Trust
Mr Swainstons is now selling a bag of sweets in aid of a Jarrow-based charity as one of their founders takes on the Great North Run this weekend.
The sweet emporium, based on Fowler St, South Shields, has announced they are stocking a special product on their shelves for charity.
One of the business’ founders, Sean Robinson, will be taking on the Great North Run this Sunday.
To help with his fundraising, 100% of the sales from their ‘Run, Sean, Run’ sweets will be going to the Chloe and Liam Together Forever Trust.
The trust was set up by the families of Chloe Rutherford and Liam Curry after the young couple from South Shields tragically lost their lives in the Manchester Arena terror attack during the Ariana Grande concert in 2017.

It supports young people with a passion and talent for performing arts and sports to achieve their dreams as a way of honouring Chloe and Liam’s love for these things.
The trust’s mission statement is: "to inspire and support others to achieve and reach their full potential through the love of sport and performance".
This comes after founders John and Sean’s recent Dragons’ Den appearance and the news that Mr Swainstons secured an exclusive deal to produce the iconic Jesmona Black Bullets for three years.

On the TV show, Jenna Meek, CEO and co-founder of beauty brand REFY, pledged to invest £50,000 for 20%, dropping down to 12% when her investment is returned.
This means the classic dark-coloured mint will hopefully be on shelves in the Mr Swainstons shop soon.
Founders also shared ambitions of having their sweets stocked in stores all over the UK, but reassured locals it will always remain a South Shields brand.
