Jet2 launches flights and holidays to Jersey from Newcastle Airport
Jet2 has launched flights and holidays to Jersey from Newcastle Airport starting from summer 2021.
Jet2.com and Jet2holidays has announced that it will be operating new weekly services to Jersey throughout next summer in response to ‘strong demand’ from passengers.
The new route will start from May 22, 2021, until September 25, 2021, with weekly services operating every Saturday to give North East holidaymakers plenty of choice and flexibility when it comes to reaching the largest of the Channel Islands.
With a range of three to five star accommodation available in resorts including Grouville, St Helier, St Brelade’s Bay, St Peter and St Aubin, customers can also enjoy ATOL protected package holidays with the UK’s second largest tour operator, Jet2holidays.
Sitting between Britain and France, just a short distance from the UK, Jersey offers aquamarine waters and vast stretches of white sand beaches.
At just nine miles by five miles, Jersey is known as the “little island with the big spirit” and its warm and sunny climate is ideal for those looking to pursue a range of outdoor activities such as hiking, surfing, kayaking and diving.
Add to that castles, forts, museums, cobbled streets and rolling hills, Jersey offers holidaymakers everything they need for the perfect getaway.
The addition of Jersey means that Jet2.com and Jet2holidays has over 30 destinations across Europe, the Mediterranean and Canary Islands on sale from Newcastle Airport for Summer 2021.
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “We are delighted to be launching a new route to Jersey from Newcastle Airport for Summer 2021.
"With flights departing throughout summer in response to strong demand, there are lots of opportunities for customers in the North East to enjoy a holiday in Jersey.
"On top of that, there are fantastic deals to be had, which means that holidaymakers have plenty of choice and flexibility when it comes to visiting this stunning island.”
Jet2 assured passengers that all flighs follow Covid-19 safety measures, ensuring that everyone wears face masks throughout the flight as well as onboard cleaning and HEPA filters on aircraft. The airline also provides in-resort care.
