South Shields's lottery luck continues as neighbours in this street share windfall

Two residents sharing the NE34 8NG postcode are £1,000 richer each after the People’s Postcode Lottery daily draw on Friday, September 11.

Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt sent her congratulations to the winners, who live in Nevinson Avenue, and added: “What fantastic news to start your weekend.”

South Tyneside has enjoyed a spate of wins on the lottery during 2020 with today’s announcement following only a fortnight after nine residents in Eglesfield Road, South Shields, received £1,000 each in a previous daily draw.

A minimum of 32% of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised more than £600 million to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.

September 11’s draw was promoted by Clic Sargent, which has received more than £10.9 million in funding from players to support cancer patients and their families.
