A spokesperson for the SSVLB said the woman was checked over by ambulance staff before being taken into the care of police

They added: “Teams set up their rope rescue equipment and other team members were deployed to the beach.

"After several minutes she came back to the correct side and was checked over by ambulance staff before leaving with police.”

The team has added a reminder that in all coastal emergencies, people should dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
