Cleadon Lane in Whitburn floods after heavy rain from Storm Christoph
Persist rain fall caused by Storm Christoph over the last few days has caused Cleadon Lane in Whitburn to flood, meaning drivers will have to take care when using the road.
Images captured by Gazette photograph Stu Norton show that the water has spread over both lanes, with cars having to drive in the middle of the road due to the water making it difficult to navigate.

It is understood that road remains open to traffic and maintenance workers are now at the scene in an effort to try and drain the water.
According to Met Office forecasters, the wet weather brought by Storm Christoph is now behind us, with this weekend expected to be dry and sunny.

Hide AdThe Met Office website said: “A cold, but often sunny weekend. Wintry showers possible, mainly across hills, but most parts dry. Clear spells overnight, with widespread frost and icy stretches.”
