Tynemouth aquarium to host Frozen-themed tea party for children

The event, inspired by the 2013 Walt Disney film, will feature a guided tour of the aquarium followed by a tea party in its café.

Starting at 10.45am and finishing at 1pm, tickets for the party cost £13.50, including a Frozen party bag. Call the aquarium on 0191 258 1031 for details.

Blue Reef staff member Rosie Wiggin said: “It’s a magical way to explore our displays, and we are all looking forward to welcoming our own version of the snow queen to the aquarium.

“We are also encouraging all the children to dress up for the occasion, and we’re hoping the staff will also join in the fun.”

Places will be limited to 30, but the event, featuring singalongs and storytelling, will be cancelled if fewer than 10 children sign up.

Children must be aged two and above to take part. Children under five are allowed one free adult to accompany them on the guided tour. Parents of children over five can either wait in the cafe or be offered a discounted price to join the tour.
