A wellbeing walk will see the public visit one of South Tyneside’s most historic sites.

Members of the public are invited to put on their walking shoes and enjoy a “great bimble” by one of South Tyneside’s most historical sites.

A wellbeing walk on Monday, November 23, will see people take in views of the River Tyne, the River Don, St Paul’s Monastery and the Jubilee Wood.

Walkers will meet at Jarrow Focus, on Cambrian Street, at 10am, before heading off towards the Tyne.

The route will then follow the Don down to St Paul's Monastery and Jarrow Bridge.

The path will then head through Jubilee Wood, along the edge of Jarrow Cemetery and across to West Park.

It will give walkers the chance to take in some of the best green spaces in Jarrow and potentially see a variety of wildfowl on the rivers.
