'Soft' - Matthias Jaissle bites his tongue after Newcastle United's draw at Fulham
Newcastle United were held to a 1-1 draw away to Fulham in the Premier League.
Matthias Jaissle believes Newcastle United did enough to claim all three points against Fulham.

The Magpies were held to a 1-1 draw at Craven Cottage. Jacob Murphy’s stunner broke the deadlock in the 80th minute, but the hosts equalised three minutes later through substitute Rodrigo Muniz.
Both goalkeepers were called into action late on, with Bernd Leno denying Lewis Hall and Lukas Hornicek keeping out Ryan Sessegnon’s powerful strike to ensure the points were shared.

“Yes, I believe we did enough [to win],” Jaissle said. “Today, I think the occasions where we could have scored were there, so we had the chances, even the occasion where we scored, and unfortunately the referee was taking it away, which in my eyes was not right, but that's just my point of view.
“Many, many aspects to build on, I think compared to the last match, we spoke clearly during the week and we saw that today also, that there was a complete commitment on the pitch, a togetherness.
“In all phases of the game, especially when the game was going on, the first 20-15 minutes you saw a bit of lack of confidence from the last weeks, but how we grew up throughout that game was excellent, and again, something to build on.”

Matthias Jaissle not happy with NUFC disallowed goal
Newcastle thought they had taken the lead in the first half when Dan Burn poked home Murphy’s cross, however, referee Robert Jones ruled the goal out after adjudging Yoane Wissa to have fouled Timothy Castagne.
Explaining the decision, the Premier League Match Centre said: #FULNEW – 33’ The referee’s call of no goal to Newcastle United was checked and confirmed by VAR – with it deemed that Wissa fouled Castagne in the build-up.
AR2: “Defensive foul at the back post. Wissa holding at the back post”.
REF: “Castagne held back by Wissa. It’s a deliberate foul”.
VAR: “He's clearly holding him - confirming the on-field decision of defensive free-kick. Wissa is clearly making an attempt to hold the Fulham defender. Clear holding offence”.
But Jaissle disagreed with the decision, highlighting that Thierno Barry’s goal was allowed to stand in Monday’s 1-0 defeat to Everton, despite Fabian Schar taking a whack to the face seconds before the striker tapped home.
“Yeah, I learned that phrase, right? A soft decision,” Jaissle said. “That's what I meant, without taking it as an excuse, but last week, an occasion where Fabby was bleeding in the face and then this as a comparison, for me that's difficult to understand and to digest.
“But again, that's my point of view, without paying any fines.”
