Your pictures as winter weather batters South Tyneside and the North East region

It's been a freezing week - but the snow, ice and sleet haven't stopped you from getting out and about in South Tyneside.

You’ve been building snowmen (and snowdogs too!), sledging and having all sorts of winter fun - and you haven’t forgotten to keep snapping pictures to send in to us.

According to the forecast, our weather is set to turn milder this week, with flood warnings and an ice warning from the Met Office currently in force.
