The Reds have confirmed a five-year front-of-shirt sponsorship deal with Turkish Airlines from June 1, 2027.

A statement released by Liverpool read: “The announcement marks the next chapter in Liverpool FC’s commercial history and will represent the first change to the club’s main club partner in 17 years.

“Standard Chartered, Liverpool’s main club partner since 2010, will remain in the position throughout the 2026-27 season before transitioning to become a global partner from the 2027-28 season, continuing one of the longest-standing partnerships in world football.

“Over 17 years as main club partner, Standard Chartered has played an important role in Liverpool’s recent history, sharing some of the club’s most significant moments and working alongside the club to make a positive contribution to both supporters and communities around the world.

“From June 2027, Turkish Airlines will become Liverpool FC’s main club partner, bringing together two organisations with a shared international reach and a commitment to connecting people around the world.”

Newcastle United comparison

The deal raises an interesting talking point regarding Newcastle United on the back of their new sponsorship deal with KNOX as they try to close the commercial gap on the likes of Liverpool.

But the reality is that the gap will continue to expand with Liverpool’s deal generating three times as much revenue per season as Newcastle’s £60million three-year deal.
