Sweden's defender Emil Krafth is treated during a training session on May 26, 2021 in Bastad, Sweden, where the Swedish national football team started its preparation for the upcoming EURO 2020 football tournament.

The Magpies full-back has, according to reports in the Swedish media, suffered a ‘slight sprain’ in his left foot in Sweden national team training.

Krafth was pictured with his foot bandaged, sitting out the session in the nation’s Båstad training camp.

Sweden are set to name their 26-man Euros squad no later than June 2.

A statement confirming his situation read: "The medical team will take a closer look at it in the afternoon."

As defensive cover, manager Janne Andersson has called up Pierre Bengtsson and Joakim Nilsson ahead of today’s pre-tournament friendly with Finland at Stockholm's Friends Arena (kick-off 5pm).

Krafth is, however, expected to be OK, with the 26-year-old set to take part in his second major tournament with his country.

Sweden take on Spain in Seville in their first group game on June 14.
