Saint-Maximin started Tuesday night’s 3-2 win over West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns after being left out of last weekend’s home game against Burnley, having had what Steve Bruce described as a “sore” hamstring in the build-up to the Premier League fixture.

And the winger – who had a hand in two of Newcastle’s goals – is ready for tomorrow’s game at the St Mary’s Stadium.

“Allan’s OK,” said Bruce, United's head coach. “He seemed bright yesterday.”

Meanwhile, defender Javier Manquillo made his comeback from a hamstring problem against Burnley – and also played in the fifth-round tie at The Hawthorns three days later. Bruce said: “Manquillo was sore yesterday, so we’ll see how he is, but, touch wood, everybody seems to have come through.”
