Northern League: Summer signing Larmouth focused on Boldon CA progress
Boldon CA and Jarrow are both in action in Northern League Division Two this weekend.
Callum Larmouth has shrugged off thoughts of personal achievements and is solely focused on helping Boldon CA achieve achieve success this season.
The former Whitley Bay forward was one of several impressive additions to the Boldon squad this summer and he has made a strong start to life at The Villa by scoring eight goals in the first ten games of the Northern League season. It was Larmouth that rounded off the scoring in Wednesday night’s 4-1 win at Prudhoe YC as his new side extended their unbeaten league run to a ninth game and retained their place at the top of the Division Two table.

A visit to sixth placed Billingham Synthonia will provide a major test for Larmouth and his team-mates on Saturday afternoon - and the versatile forward has set out his targets for the remainder of the season ahead of the visit to Teesside.
He told The Gazette: “To be honest, I’ve settled in perfectly, which I knew I would. I’m a confident person - but I knew a lot of the lads and the management team before I joined. My aim is just to contribute as much as I can to help the team. I used to target 30 goals each season but I don’t worry about that now. I just want three points on the board so that means the team does well and the goals are a bonus for me. I think for the team’s aim is definitely to finish as high as we can but also enjoy what we are doing.”
